Curiosity got the best of you, didn’t it? “What in the world is this?” “What does play-doh have to do with politics” These are all thoughts that may be running through your head, right now. So, allow me to explain. I will keep this first part short, as there is already an article about this on the site.

The User and Admin Taarank, better known as Pseudonymous Bosch among the people of the site posted a survey titled “VOTE: Best Play-Doh Flavor.” Within this survey, you were asked which is the best play-doh flavor, “OG Red” or “Chernobyl Green.” This sparked competition between supporters of the 2 popular flavors. Who Won?

The results have since been posted on the site by Taarank, showing Green Play-Doh winning in a landslide victory of 64% Green to 36% Red. So, why am I posting this. Well, first things first, the pool of voters are small, with a mere 11 people participating. I see this as inconclusive evidence, so I implore you to revote on this new post, as shown below, as well as share it with some of your friends.

So… Politics?

Now, we get to the reason you clicked on this article. How does a silly debate on the best Play-Doh flavor have anything to do with the complicated and intense nature of American Politics? Well, I believe the debate is an excellent representation of the 2 parties, Republican and Democrat, fighting it out for dominance. The red and green play-doh each have many supporters and showcase the beginnings of 2 political rivals battling it out in a more controlled environment. Just like politics, there are types of people on each side of the debate. Some people are very open and actively ask for support. Others, however, are meeker, only revealing their side when forced. This showcases the many personalities of the supporters of the 2 main American Political Parties.
