My Concerns

Here are my concerns I will be listing my solutions to in this article.

  • Who gets to run?
  • Who gets to vote?
  • How do we vote?
  • How many admins?
  • Who runs the elections?

I will be answering these concerns in the order I listed them.

Who Gets to Run?

This is a pretty major issue. Who gets to run for admin? Most people want to be admin, so if everybody runs for admin, nobody will vote for everyone except for themselves. My solution? Have the current admins choose. Each of the current admins, including Ehab, would choose one author that can run for admin. That way, there is a limited number of runners. To my knowledge, there are 2 active admins. Kevin and Ivan. Including Ehab, that is 3 runners that could be chosen. I feel that 3 runners are the perfect number, as there are not all that many voters on the site.

Who Gets to Vote?

This paragraph is much shorter than the previous. Simply, the authors get to vote. If anybody can vote, people can easily fake votes.

How Do We Vote?

This is the next major issue. How can we vote? A Microsoft forms can be easily rigged. Thus, I believe that there should be an article that you can comment and vote for your favorite runner.

How Many Admins?

This is also very easy. There should be 3 active admins, and as of right now, there are 2 active admins. The winner of the election will be the third.

Who Runs The Election?

Who runs the election? Who posts the article? I believe a trusted admin should. So, who do I nominate? I think Kevin Moyer should. He has been a very active member of the site and has shown to care a lot. He is the most trustworthy of the authors, and a good neutral party.

A Summary:

I don’t want this to be more complicated than it is, so here is a basic summary. The admins on the site each nominate one author to run for admin. Then, the authors will all vote by posting a comment on an article posted by a trusted admin. I nominate Kevin Moyer for that role. The winner of the vote will become the new admin.

  1. We should get an admin write up place so if an admin abuses power we can write them up and we have a less of a Hassel like we did with tarrank

    1. whaddya mean i was not a hassle i did not abuse my power

i gave you all a warning to take down posts that shouldn’t be up or the next day i would delete said posts
      and i did
and now we can’t really get in trouble for this site
